- What should I bring as a patient?
All your past Medical records- Doctor’s referral letter along with diagnostic reports (Labs, X-rays and other Radiology reports), Health benefits cards (Insurance cards).
- Will my insurance policy cover everything once I am in the hospital?
The coverage under insurance varies based on the insurance company and the plan opted for by the patient. It is always better to check the inclusion and exclusion with the insurance company itself. In case any assistance is needed insurance desk in the hospital will be available to help.
- Can I get a private room?
Room assignments are based on the medical necessity of patients. Your medical needs or those of another patient may require your transfer to a different unit/room during your stay. But we do consider if the patient has specific request for a private room.
- What are the procedures involved in my discharge?
Your primary consultants will inform you of the date of your discharge. At the time of discharge your nurse will detail you on the treatment / surgery that you have had and on the medication that you have to take, follow-up requirements if any and finally will hand over all your medical investigation reports/X-ray/MRI/other scan images and medicines Once the doctor gives instructions to discharge, the formalities and arrangements for the patients to leave the hospital would require 3 to 4 hours. In very rare eventualities, it can take even more time. If you are covered under insurance for cashless facility, you would need to wait until the final approval from your insurance company is received. You will be given a detailed final bill. All balances are due and payable in full at the time of discharge.
